Food carts at Harvest Moon Fest
Fire & Dough
At Fire & Dough, we’re more than just a food truck—we’re a passionate team dedicated to the art of producing authentic Neapolitan pizza. Every pizza we make starts with our handcrafted dough, cold-fermented for 72 hours and proofed at room temperature for another 4 hours before being fired in a blazing 950-degree wood-fired oven thats hand crafted in Italy.
Region Sauvage
At Region Sauvage, fire is more than heat—it’s a canvas. Just as Harvest Moon Fest celebrates the art of making by hand, our fire-driven cuisine honors the craft of cooking in its rawest, most elemental form.
We build open-flame kitchens in the landscape, using asado crosses, Dutch oven tables, and Santa Maria grills to transform bison, venison, trout, and garden harvests into meals that carry the scent of woodsmoke and the rhythm of the seasons. Every ember is tended with the same care a craftsman gives their tools, every dish plated with the creativity of an artist at work.
Much like The Making Place offers a home for shared skills and imagination, our food invites community to gather around the fire—hands outstretched, stories exchanged, bellies filled. Cooking becomes participatory: guests watch, taste, and engage as sparks rise into the harvest night sky.
In the spirit of the Harvest Moon, Region Sauvage embodies the balance of wild nature and refined craft. We bring together Montana’s abundance—elk from the plains, trout from the rivers, vegetables from local soil—and elevate them with techniques rooted in Indigenous tradition and French finesse.
Fire cooking with Region Sauvage isn’t just a meal. It’s a celebration of creativity, community, and the joy of making something lasting, together.
