Chelsie Dwello: Art for the soul

Welcome to art for the soul.  I am a self taught intuitive artist.  During the pandemic I had a spiritual awakening.   I started my Journey of discovery, discovery of who I am , where I came from, what I am, and the meaning of my life.  These paintings are a visual representation of that journey.  My creations are more of a co-creation with spirit (or the universe).  They do not come from me but through me.  Thank you for taking this journey with me.

Namaste,

Art for the soul

Cooper Jeppesen: Hearth Ceramics

Cooper Jeppesen’s work is deeply rooted in the ritual of wood-fired ceramics, where the gathering of artists around the kiln mirrors the cyclical, meditative nature of his craft. He cultivates a close relationship with each kiln he fires, creating pieces that respond to and honor its unique character. Drawing inspiration from the natural landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and the refined tradition of Chinese Yixing teapots, Cooper’s teapots, bowls, and vessels emerge from the fire as monuments to the labor, community, and experiences of the kiln site.

Here, amidst Montana’s rugged beauty, Cooper’s creations echo the rhythms and textures of the land, each piece offering a tangible connection between nature, craft, and collector.

Elaine Atkinson: Live Illustrations

Elaine Atkinson is an artist based out of Whitefish, Montana. She loves connecting with people through her art, and feels that live illustration is a great way to do that. Using markers and pen, she can capture someone’s likeness in just 5 minutes! While caricature aims at making fun, Elaine’s art is instead a stylized interpretation rather than an exaggeration.

When she’s not creating, Elaine can be found skiing, swimming, sewing, or elbows deep in the sale rack at the thrift store.

Halloween is her favorite holiday and she can’t wait to see all the costumes at the Festival!

Falina Sinopah Lintner

Falina Sinopah Lintner is an emerging artist from Glacier and Whitefish area of Montana. She is most recognized for reproductions of her studio collection found as retail reproductions and fine art stickers around Glacier National Park

Falina was raised with hiking and climbing as a general panacea and much of her portfolio is filled with field and studio landscapes paintings drawn from her life of exploration of wilderness areas. In addition, she worked and lived most of a decade off-grid in Polebridge, Montana further developing her love of a deliberate simple life actively tied to nature.

Falina unites her passions to bring uncommon experience and views into everyday life in the form of acute plein air paintings. She carries her art supplies with her on all her outings and renders oil paintings quickly from life while strolling and climbing alike. The results are vibrant images full of immediacy, life, and spirit of place.

Falina’s studio oil paintings are drawn from her knowledge of, and time spent exploring North Western summits and trails, myths and stories, and natural history. These glowing paintings create the impression of an often reminisced slice-of-life memory. They capture the sense of nostalgia and magic many lover's of wilderness share.

Falina graduated with a BFA in painting and Art History in 2012 from the University of Montana

Jamie MacLeod: For the Wild and Feral

Jamie’s herbal journey sprouted with a potion made of sun, mud, and hose water sometime around age five. Plants drew her in  and never let her go, pulling her into their unruly rhythms and wild wisdom. Childhood potions have ripened into potent plant formulas over the years, each one carrying the pulse of the feral world. For the Wild and Feral is the living expression of this ever-unfolding journey. These creations are crafted to ease physical discomforts and ailments and are also meant to inspire introspection. To Jamie, formulating with plants is not only medicine-making but an expression of wild creativity—an offering that invites others to explore the depths of their own experience.

Kristen (kay) Lyle: Manicule Studios

A manicule is a tiny hand. You may have seen one in the margins of a medieval manuscript, or drawing your eye in a wild west poster.

I’m a graphic designer, but when sitting behind the computer doesn’t quite scratch the itch, I like to work with historical typesetting and design processes through letterpress, block printing, and intaglio work. I enjoy illustrating the world around me, creating dad-joke style greeting cards, and experimenting with bookbinding, packaging, and paper decorations. Stop by my table and explore design the old-school way…made by hand!

Maddie Feeney: Spunky Sprite

Maddie specializes in creating unique handmade beaded jewelry and block printed clothing. Originally from Tacoma Washington, Maddie moved to Missoula to attend UM.

After graduation she started Spunky Sprite as a way to reconnect with her inner child and to start living her life as authentically as she could. When she isn’t coming up with new designs for her business you can find her reading, exploring in nature or snuggled up with her pup Winnie.
